Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The ski lift drops you off ~11,000' and you get ~3000' of dh fun.

Last time I attempted skiing, I didn't even make it to the lift before I fell on my ass and couldn't get up. Little did I know you had to stick the pole in the little hole deelie in the back of the ski. Some dude finally stopped and said, hey, you need some help. No, I just thought I'd lay here in the snow like a cockroach freezing what's left of my tail off. I figured I was better suited to drinking hot toddies in the lodge!

take a lesson next time... you'll learn it a lot faster than on your own. And NEVER take lessons from friends unless they are also an instructor... they'll not teach you enough and they'll take you on runs harder than you're ready for.

I gotta do that myself. Tried boarding...now time for skiing
We got a good bit of that stuff on our mountains in Southern AZ this past weekend.
