I want to get tickers for my weight loss and distance ridden and need some suggestions.
Do you have to insert them every post or can you make them "sticky"? Which ones are best to start with and where do you get them? I was counting carbs. and have gotten slack, but still off sugar, bread, ect.- enjoying eating lots of salad. Thanks for all the post here, it keeps me fired up.

Go to one of the sites that has the ticker. Set one up with your milestones, etc. They will provide some code to embed into forum software (like this forum). Use the bbCode option. Insert that into your Signature for this forum (click on Signature at the top of this page, then click on Edit Signature in the right sidebar on the resulting page), and you're done.

Go to www.tickerfactory.com (http://www.tickerfactory.com)
Follow directions to create the ticker
Come back here and go to edit signature.
Upload something that looks like this:

And I a much smaller woman.

I had dropped the ticker after I met my goal weight. I was using www.tickerfactory.com because it also allows tickers for riding goals and so was easy to use for both.

But I think DaHaMac's ticker is pretty so I'm going to try that one for a while.

If you have trouble finding "edit your signature," click on "settings" at the top left of the page and then read down in the left hand column and you will find the option to edit your signature and paste in the link from tickerfactory or whatever ticker you use. They all update automatically, which is nice.
