well..i live in Vancoiuver, so i'm fairly close...good times man..huge everything man...just huge...amazing flowing trails..one called A-line, with 30 tables on it..easy..but a smooth quick run...u can go up higher on the new extended bit called Garbonzo..they say its for pros, but i'm 14 and rippin it up..just amazing..its like the shore, but in whistler man...everything is just groomed and built to perfection...u meet great people up there, and u have the time of your life..
cheers

Hey toolshed...avoid aolese please. Hard to read and against the rules:)
Garbonzo is not for the pros...sheesh, everyone was riding it. Definately black diamonds but not pros only (there were a few trails initially open only to pros and then they chian off the really tough stuff and leave the basics, although not that basic)
A-line is the most popular. I don't really like it. Its a highway with jumps. I prefer schleyer, whistler dh, angry pirate, crab apple hits a little bit and a bunch of blues.
Hey When freight train opens...it willbe lots of jumps. Freight train -> dm -> aline...good speed :) And yes I live here. Freaking snow right now though.
BEst story was my first day up in july. My buddy dragged me down some technical black. I got on whistler dh and completely wrecked on a rock face to an immediate berm. Missed the berm flew over the berm like a jump and broke my helmet.
Another one was during a tourist run. I was coming down Ho Chi Min (yes I like that trail) and came to the spot where it splits, bunch of toursist just hanging out right in front of the blind turn, I avoid them, my wheel got caught and I did a superman without the bike.
I have many many stories :D

And I didn't want to take anything away from you. 14 and ripping up top. You have some serious skills, but really what do you expect from a shore kid. Most experienced riders wouldn't last a day or two on the shore skill wise.
Oh and whistler isn't all mountain, check out this thread.

...umm....they are djs...how much is there to talk about.
Whistler Bike Park is the mountain. That side area is somewhere to play when the mountain is closed, it isn't the park itself :)

yea i know i was just thinking park because my mind has already gone into snowboarding mode, and because i am more of a dj and trials guy and i was of course a tourist and with my family theres only so much time i was allowed to spend ON the mountain, so i had to stick with the DJ's...
im hoping to go out next summer with friends and spend time on the mountain more because i have acess to a chalet free:)

First off, use full words please. Its a rule on this site, makes things easy to read.
Freight train is the new upper a-line. Will be complete next summer :)...Should be a full fun down of jumps.
I like ho chi. But then again I don't like a-line, all balls no real skills (not that ho chi is hard, but it is a fun easy tech, still prefer angry pirate)
mmm spagetti factory...rays is what it is. Not a whistler but somewhere to play inside. I would love that here for the long winter :)
