Hi everyone
Im looking for some new tires for my stinky. Ive got 2.5 WTB weifwolf dh which are really heavy and slow my riding down a whole lot so I would like to get something a little lighter. Im looking at the Timberwolfs now but as the race version. I guess my real question is is that are folding tires with a kevlar bead a lot weaker than the non folding dh version with a steel bead. If the race are to weak for dh riding and free ride i will deal with the weight.

They are just going to have much thinner sidewalls, and the weirwolfs are already light DH tires. Ive heard great things about the TWs though...might pick some up.

well also, im running dh green tubes on the stinky. if i got the race version with the tubes, do you think it would be a good set up, or is it not even close to the dh version? usually i dont care about weight but the dh version is a lot heavier than the stock tires which came on the bike. using the dh timberwolfs would be like adding another 2.65lbs to the wheels which should increase the rolling resistance.

Use the normal sidewalled ones(the lighter ones)....you should be fine. If your just DHing on the Stinky, id run the DH sidewalled ones, and lighter tubes......
