Classic & Vintage - Does Nitto still make a 90 degree quill stem?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I did a cursory search on the internets and didn't find anything. I have a new project coming and the Nitto is a must.:)

Maybe this one? I'm not exactly sure, but that's what came up when I just did a quick search.

That is technically a 0 degree stem with 0 rise and 0 drop.

Dynamic II that jonsan mentioned is 90°, unfortunately 25.4mm clamp.

Why not just run a 73° stem (like Technomic, perhaps), assuming your headtube is tall enough to accept it?

I have that stem! It's an SR that had bad anodizing so I stripped and polished it. I actually have two other 0* stems. One is an 85mm chromoly stem in silver and the other one is an 80mm Nitto Dynamic II in rough shape. What reach are you looking for? Here is a pic of the SR:

Sooo shiny! Vast improvement over original finish, JAP!

Thanks for posting this RFC!! I have been wanting a few of those stems myself since I used up the few I had lying around.

what is wrong with the 25.4 clamp? the Nitto B115 bars are perfect fit with this. Ebike stop sells (or sold) and inexpensive Demension branded 'anotomic' shaped bar in 25.4 if they are your preference. also the ones 3Speed posted is 26.0

there was always something I did not like about the Technomic, perhaps because I mostly saw them on small bikes and the huge stem sticking out looked awkward or something.

That bike has an axe on it.

Manliest bike ever?
