Nice bike, I would have spent 10mins sorting that chain out though

Pretty cool bike. Were the Swiss the only ones who did fades like that on their paint jobs back then? A'la the Mondia? It's distinctive.

I've seen similar Italian bikes.

I'd buy that just for the chrome lugs and paint. Toss the racks, fenders and set it up as a sport-race bike.

I was looking, longingly, at that bike the other day. And, on the weekend, 241 bikes were delivered to Bicycles for Humanity, and this old Condor was one of them. Faded paint was an eye catcher. Is this one Swiss?

looks like the RD has a busted spring, or something wrong with it. You'd have to budget on replacing it.

Those are cool lugs but they don't look like Nervex, at least not the more well-known style.

It is pretty. I have no idea what it's worth on the eBay market, but I'd be willing to give it a try at about $300.

Seemed a little high to me, but on the other hand, its pretty unique, pretty original and in pretty good shape, so, who knows. But yeah, more than I could spend.

A friend was watching a French frame that I thought was worth about $200 max, more like $150, and the seller had a $475 BIN. Someone clicked BIN. You never know...maybe someone wants it and I have NO idea what that's worth.
To me, it's worth maybe $200-$300.

I agree that's a crazy price, especially with shipping. It looks to be in nice condition although the fenders are obvious replacements and it appears to be missing a chainguard. The RD might just be unwrapped for storage to save the spring. If not, it looks like an old Huret so probably not hard to replace. But still, $1000 would buy a lot of chocolate.

Love the color scheme.

What do you think the stud on the right chainstay is for, and what's that gizmo on the left seatstay?

That's what I thought too, but it's Swiss. Who knows what sort of hijinks they got up to in Bern back in the day?

Tour de Suisse bikes were made by Mondia.

Hence the paint fade thing I guess. Neat bike.
