I found this bike on my property this morning hidden in a small area between my 6-foot fence and my shed. It appears to be a Catapult Equator bike, but I can't find any information on it on the internet anywhere. I called our local sheriff department, but no one has reported a stolen BMX bike. The sheriff said that if no one reports it missing within the next few days it's mine. Any ideas what this thing is worth?

Thanks.
Shawn

I found it. It appears to be a Kmart special....

Link to manufacturer's website (http://www.dynacraftbike.com/find_bikes.php3?size=20&gender=B&store_code=KMT)

Was the rear tire missing? I'm just wondering if maybe the guy had a flat and hid the bike while he took it to get it fixed.

Yes, the rear tire was/is missing, but there aren't quick releases. He would've had to have had wrenches.

SSonnentag,
Hey do you mind replying with the components? Front/Back derauiller, cranks, etc. that it has...the bike looks fairly cheap, <nothing pricy anyhow> and the components, (if any...) probably suck. Check em out.

You found a bmx bike. Someone might didn't need it anymore so they just set it on the ground, someone might of hid it from someone, someone might wanted someone else to have it,someone might didn't like the bmx bike and just left it on the ground. These things what I told you could have happen. Bye.

I thought MTB stood for "mountain bike". Wouldnt an "MTB bike" would actually be a "mountain bike bike"

As for the bike you found... It looks like a piece.

Someone could have stolen it from someone and then they didn't feel right about steeling it and put it where you lived and the person who knows it got stolen didn't want to tell there parents because they might get real mad. That might what have happen. I am glad to help.:)
