Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Does anyone know what the ERD is for Reynolds Assault tubular rims? The only published data I can find is for their regular 46mm profile rims (560mm), but I thinks it's a bit of a stretch to assume it'd be the same for the Assaults even thought they're the same depth. Searching the forums didn't turn up any leads either...
Thanx,

According to this it is 46mm: http://www.westernbikeworks.com/product/reynolds-assault-tubular-wheelset thus it should be 130mm diameter; so see this: http://outdoorandsports.net/2010-reynolds-assault-carbon-clincher-wheelset-campy

Ummm, thanks, but I don't see anything at either link that even hints at the ERD for these rims.

Tell you what, it would be more accurate to measure it yourself rather then taking the factory measurements, because I think the 130mm is wrong. So instead of writing a bunch of stuff I found this site: http://lenni.info/edd/howtomeasure
I hope this helps.

I'm well aware of how to measure ERD. I've got the 'spoke rods' to prove it. But in this case, I rather determine spoke lengths without needing to have the rims in hand.
Thanks none the less,
Bert

Did you try this site: http://www.tunds.com/web_pdf/reynolds/Spokes2008.pdf Scan down to the second page and find your wheel.

Unfortunately, the second page only shows data for the Attack wheels. None the less, if the assumption that the Assault rims are a close match to the 46's, I can use the data for the 46's to make at least an informed guess. If I had the funds in hand, I'd just buy the rims and be done with it. May have to wait it out until I can do just that.

Crap, I got attack mixed up with assault...they are related in terms! HAHA. Ok it wasn't that funny. Anywho isn't there a IBS in town that might have that info? They should be able to at least find the info...or so I would think.

It can't hurt to ask. I was think more along the lines of asking our local wheel guru, PSIMET, or maybe the folks a Wheelbuilder.com

Well, Duuuh... Shoulda though of asking the experts sooner. Just got off the phone with the Wheelbuilder folks, and they use 568mm as the ERD for the Reynolds Assault Tubular. BTW, that's within 2mm of the ERD I did find for their regular 46mm profile rims, so using that 'estimate' would have gotten me in the ballpark.
Anyway, thanks for suggesting I ask around...
