Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Windsor Oxford

I found a Windsor Oxford new with blemishes for 220 bucks.. seems like a good deal, after searching around craigs and LBS around town.. the frame on the windsor seems
to be best with 4130 CroMoly frame compared to the hi-tens I've seen going for more $.


I just can't decide on the size. 51 or the 56..

since it's a cruiser/casual ride, i am thinking smaller would be better then bigger..
I used to ride a 54cm and it was a good fit, but 1 cm more and it would of been too big.

I have a 30 inseam and I am 5"10

If it helps any, I am also 5'10 with a 30 inseam and I am riding a 56 steamroller

I hear BD frames run a little big so...
anything bigger than my old 54 njs track bike would be uncomfortable.
are these decent bikes for the money? 200 bucks almost seems like a joke, u can't even find a half way decent bike on Craigslist for that much.. and most LBS i've been at are way over priced.



can't decide between 51cm or 56cm my fit is usually a 54cm... so either 2 cm bigger or 3 cm smaller...
i have a felling smaller would be on the safe side as i can adjust the stem/post.
and this is just for cursing around town, not worried about max performance leg extension.

Mens 51cm fits most riders from 5' to 5'9 / Mens 56cm fits most riders from 5'9 to 6'2"
Ladies 46cm fits most ladies from 4'10" to 5'7" / Ladies 49cm fits most from 5'7" to 5'10"
If you are between sizes, choose the smaller if one has shorter torso/arms or the larger for longer arms/torsos.

Looks like a ladies 49 would be the best fit. Add truck nuts if you need reassurance. Nice looking bike.

You can make a smaller bike bigger/longer but do you know just how much you need to work with? Saying 54, 51, 56 really means nothing.

I am not sure how they are measured, it's not like i have any idea what the tt is, or the geometry of the bike for that matter. ill just email them.

NOTE: Sized center to center, most riders fit a size smaller than they fit in a center to top sized bike
Example - if you ride a 58cm center to top sized bike then you may prefer the 55cm Kilo TT
