You go pat5319! What are you doing with the money you are saving?

That's great. Congratulations!

I gave my car to my wife a few years ago. It's not the same as being car free ('cause she can do the shopping, so I don't have to use the trailer I bought!) but I do most of my commuting by bike until I have to use the bus. The state bus authority has fitted all the buses with a 2-bike rack, so that takes a lot of pressure off when the riding conditions worsen. I'll have to convert to 700c to put studs on, though.

Got my second set of wheel setup with snow studs now. For me swapping wheel is easier than changing tires. Although I'm not yet ready to give up the car yet. Congrats on doing something you obviously set as a goal.

Way to go pat5319. Ride on!

I sometimes call my bikes my wheelchairs in part because when I have been injured I have almost always been able to ride but often couldn't walk.
