Cyclocross - Tufo T34/old mavic rims

My google skills are lacking and I can't find much on Tufo T34 or T32, a buddy is hooking me up with them and I was wondering what to expect as far as size, do they truly measure 34/32. I'll still have a set of Michelin Mud on clincher rims for muddyness.

Also I'll be looking out for an old set of (prolly mavic) tubulars to put them on, which ones to look for or avoid?

I have a couple of sets of the T34's. I like them, they are really durable. Not the lightest but they will last. I'll measure mine and get back to you. If I don't drop me a PM. As for rims, older mavics work well. If you can find them the GL330 are silly light (330grams) and are good with a 32 spoke build. I have a 28 hole rear for my SS.

Thanks! He's giving me 2 in 34 and 1 in 32 so I prolly need to run 34 front/32 rear since my Pompino doesn't have the most clearance. I was a bit worried since they are cheaper tubs that they might not ride that well, sorta like the difference between a Michelin Mud/Jet (supple which I love) and the Kenda Small Block 8 (garden hose which I hate).

The T-series of tires from Tufo aren't the smoothest-riding tires out there. VERY tough tho. I had several of em on my cross bike thru a few winters of mtn biking in Sandy Eggo. Only wore one out. Still have one that looks pretty much new. (musta been the front)

IME GL330s are gonna be fine for a front wheel, but not so bueno for the back. Run an Escape or Mach2CD2 in the rear and you should be OK.

If you have a choice, stick with both 34s. There's more weight on the rear end of your bike than the front.
