General Cycling Discussion - Brain failing, help me with the name of this genre of bike?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Brain failing, help me with the name of this genre of bike? I can't think of the name of those full size road bikes with 20 inch wheels!!!!!!!! Anyone remember what they're called?

Mini Velo. I have to say that I really want to get one, since I'll be moving into an apartment soon. Of course, the cost of the apartment means I can't afford to get one...

Whats the point really? Yes more compact but you can achieve about the same just removing the front wheel right? Well either way if you get one enjoy it:)

Not quite...removing the wheel means two pieces to carry and a bike can only roll with the front end held up -- very cumbersome IMO.

Those F1 BMXers were some pretty wild rigs:

The whole concept is silly unless you are a kid under 15 years old.

Why? Or is that just a knee jerk reaction because you don't like them?

i have this one. i guess the difference is the top tube is probaly a little short for an adult rider. i also have the hutch that had the fairing on it, but the fairing is missing. i just keep them hung on my garage wall. maybe i should play with the diamondback, just too see how rideable i can make it for me (5'11").

How much does that thing weigh? And report back if you get it fitted in a way you like :D

i'll try to remember. give me a couple days to get to it and put it on my specially calibrated (er... bathroom) scale.

Nothing a long stem can't fix. ;) I recently scored a 160mm stem but it's just a tad too long, I need about a 140mm on here:

I've always liked this one (http://www.tyrellbike.com/products/pk1/)

Of course it's probably very expensive. I bet it rides well though.

pulled the diamond back down yesterday. as best i could balance it on the scale it was right around 30lbs. not a lightweight, and i don't see much way of trimming it down. as weighed, mine didn't have a chain or front brake either, and it doesn't have the wheel discs.
i may still play with it, but it'll be a low priority.
