The wife road by her self last week and dropped the bike off the bike rake. The Trek 7100 can out of it pretty good seat and grips are and bruised frame and rear wheel are fine. But the front wheel wheel will need to be replaced. The sticker on the wheel says Matrix ETRTO 622x20 AL 6061-T6, tire is a Bontrager 700x35c. Thanks for the help!

did you take it to a LBS to see if it "needs to be replaced, or can be repaired? Call your LBS & see how much a replacement will cost. Or IMHO, check out the online market, never know what you'll find.

Tom it's bent up it fell off the car at 55 MPH. Called an online bike retailer and was told it was a 29" wheel?? When I measure across the wheel it's 24" inside and 25" to the outside of the rim. I can take it to the LBS which is a small dealer with HIGH prices.

Even with replacing the wheel, I'd be extremely wary to get on a bike that fell off a car traveling at 55 mph unless it's had a good checkover by a professional bike mechanic (and a good one at that). You want to make absolutely sure there's no structural damage to the frame and fork. I'd prefer my face to stay as it is, and I presume your wife feels the same.

I too was very wary of the frame, forks, bars. All looks well the seat and grips and front rim took the hit. Frame welds are intact as far as the eye can tell with out having x-rays on the welds I can't see that a dealer could do any thing more. We have both rode the bike after I looked it over, all I needed to do was to square the handle bars up. The rim doe's rub the brakes and I don't trust it and need to change it out? Thanks for your concern.
