We got a bit more than we expected today, and earlier. It was supposed to snow tonight.....instead, we got nailed this afternoon.

Yeah, it's coming at ya, if it isn't already there now. We got about 4" in about 3 hours.

:(

In 2008 I was caught in the blizzard of the century in Columbus.
You usually see little snow down there so relax:)

Still don't like it. Plus I drive a pickup truck now and it slides enough in the rain...

Buy those cheap bags of traction sand at HomeDopey to set in the bed.
I bet I only use my 4-wheel drive selector 10-15 times a year up here. You can only go as fast as the surrounding traffic.

Moving into this area tonight. Expecting 2"-3" of slush by am rush.
Gitarzan, get about 4 bags(minimum) of tube sand to drop in your bed over rear axle.
I keep 6 or 8 bags in the back of 3/4 ton Dakota. And if you did get stuck on slippery stuff, you have traction sand on hand. http://www.sakrete.com/products/detail.cfm/prod_alias/Tube-Sand

It's been a beautiful November here in Western NY, so I'm not complaining. I hope We have a December to match. That would make a very short winter indeed. I didn't buy a season ski pass for the first time in 30 years so it'll be just my luck that we have an epic snow season.

The jealousy rages within me. Only a matter of time before I return to the land of four seasons.

^I like that! Going to have to make one if we have a heavy enough snow this year. Had a fun first 15 minutes for the commute home the day of Tom's snow. Tom didn't mention it, but in central Indiana (90 minutes south of Tom?) the headwind was 25 mph at times and a real PITA with the big snow flakes coming in horizontal before things calmed down. I'd taken enough time to swap in the studded tires/wheelset before leaving for work in the morning, but still wore my sandals/eggbeaters so I had to put on my reserve pair of plastic shopping bags over the feet before donning the sandals for the trip home. Winter platforms on now.
