It's a piece of crap, and the way it's sold is really shady.

If the guy can't even tell you what it's made of, you shouldn't buy it. Also, why are you concerned about whether a particular style of bike is popular? Also also, Kilo TT.

Recommendation: Spend the money on scarves and PBR instead. Maybe get the kid laid. $200 can buy a whole lot of strange, if you know where to look.

Diesel charges upwards of $300 for distressed jeans and yet these bicycle companies haven't figured out a way to monetize "street cred" ...so to the pont:

Head on down to Craigslist and get the most beatup fixie you can find with a stinky toptube. The build Must have at-least 1 such namebrand component: aerospoke, phil wood, chris king, siguino, nitto, cinelli etc. These come with "mad street cred" (distressed fixies should actually cost more for tha 'credz, but they do not = winner) Also: like streiknein has mentioned: a dirty scarf and a 6-pack of PBR will seal the deal.

These bikes are made in china and sold (mostly in bulk) through websites like alibaba.com for around $50 each. They are probably comparable to the Walmart $99 fixie.

I was surprised he hadn't been ripped open by the 3rd post. I was also curious what everyone had for dinner last night.

Considering he didn't post a link, he's a bad one.

I assumed the "company", Peace Bike, and the item-number looking number in the photo they posted might have been their way of attempting to be subtle.

I called shill a couple times on posts that look like this one and they turned out to be legit, so I don't do that anymore. herp derp.

There is nothing subtle about that bike company.

Thanks you guys for all your advice... i still think my son will like the sporty sleek look and the aggresive handlebars....do you think these bikes would be popular from a not so biased group of consumers? Say villages in africa? or needs kids in Venezuela?

Don't kids in Africa and Venezuela need money, food, schools, and clothes instead of a sw8 fixay?

I'm sure they would rather be poor, starving, dumb, and naked, as long as they can bust skidzz on the reg.

People in Africa and Venezuela want useful bikes, not "sporty" skinny tire bikes that can't do much on poor or no pavement.

Don't kids in africa want bikes with baskets so they can haul water from the well? Hard to balance it on your head and peddle.

Can we have an agreement from now on that we pretend to be really impressed and interested in bike shill's products? Like just absolutely praise and admire them until they realize we're being sarcastic?
