Hi, I'll be in the bay area(san jose area) over the break. I'm bringing my bike up with me to get some miles in. Can you guys suggest some good training rides? For those of you who have ridden in so cal, something in terms of equivalent skill and fitness as Montrose, Swamis, SDBC, Como st. etc. While I'd prefer to stay in the south bay, I will travel for a good ride.

Also, what type of clothing should I bring up? Will arm and knee warmers be enough or should I bring something heavier, jacket, toe warmers?
Cheers!

Here (http://www.altovelo.org/ride_calendar/index.php) is a list of some of the rides on the peninsula (in "Other Local Group Rides") . These are a little north of you, and I'm sure there are rides further south but others will have to fill you in there.

I'd bring at least a wind vest in addition to arm and knee/leg warmers. If you want to ride before 8am or so I'd suggest a long sleeve jersey or jacket as well, as it can get down into the low 40s/upper 30s in the mornings.
