Was wondering if a braze-on front derailleur adaptor will work universally for all braze-on front derailleurs. Are the threads different (i.e. french, english, italian threadind). I have a Sachs Huret front braze-on derailleur and need to get an adaptor...
The Braze-in interface has been standardized for over half a century, ever since they were actually brazed onto steel frames. To my knowledge all derailleurs have been made to fit the same system for just as long.
As for the thread, that's part of the derailleur, not the adapter, though most, if not all, are 5x.8mm.
