Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

As soon as I heard "electric tank" and saw the flaming,
my first thought was "BikeForums"!
I wish those two could've just kept going on and on and on! The other Volt commercials
are BFish too (isn't it electric? so what are you doing at a gas station?).

It's the electric tank that does all of the flaming.

Yup, just ask those guys who crash tested the Volt and had it catch fire three weeks later. They didn't drain the electric tank after the crash, so it caught fire. GM is busy offering loaners and even offering to buy back Volts because some owners are scared of the electric tank blowing up on them.
;)
Also, I heard that the Volt is made of LBDs.

 Was it made of carbon?

No, it was made of LBDs. I think they removed an LBD from the electricity tank when pouring in the AMP energy drink.

The crash test obviously damaged some LBDs and they did not remove the flames from the electric tank. The flames got out, and *poof*, a fire ensued.
Either way, it asploded. ;)
