I looked all over the internet and this forum but couldn't find the answer.
I have a CAAD 10 I took apart the headset on...and now I can't get it back correctly. When I reinstall, either the headset is too loose or everything is so tight the front wheel can barely be turned.
I just can't remember how to put the bearings on correctly. This is what's inside, except for the black ring at far right

I am reasonably certain the bottom bearing (just above front brake) goes on with the flat edge down and the rounder side up. Is the top bearing the same? And where does the ring with the slit go? $%#&!
edit: Actually, the black ring at far right in the picture is the very bottom piece, on the top of the fork.
