General Cycling Discussion - Now that's what I call a climb

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Man, those guys must be some serious downhillers.
What I don't get is, if they rode up wouldn't it be more fun to ride back down? And if they are going up, wouldn't it have been just as easy to ride/walk up? Unless those are motorized cables just pulling them up.

This picture is posted on a bulletin board at work. It was in one of those calendars that you tear the page off each day and each has a little quote. Funny that I see it here. The date for this picture was April 17, 2002 on the calendar.

WOW!!
That is TRUE DEDICATION!
It would be nice to hear the whole story and to know if that is a real picture, or assembled.

Okay.
There are some guys here in Colorado who specialize in going to the top of 14er's and mtn biking down. Their description of mtn biking down from Mt. Elbert (the highest peak in Colorado) was fun to read. Thumbnail of Mt. Elbert below
