As suggested by C0urt (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/784542-December-2011-Foo-Photo-Contest?p=13580466&viewfull=1#post13580466), post some photos of holiday displays.

They don't have to be recent photos.

was going downtown today to get a pic of the city tree, got down there, it was blocked off by police cars. There was a bomb threat.
So I hung out with the Occupy Birmingham for a bit. They are interesting people to watch, but it is a bit cool out for me.

no motor?

Isn't it kind of early to have that many presents under the tree?

Here's one that caught me by surprise. After we put up the tree last night, I took some pictures playing with various exposures. One was a time exposure that I've done in the past a few times with my old film cameras... and incandescent lights. Now, we've got a DSLR and LED lights. This is a 6 second exposure moving the camera in random directions. I was surprised to see the "dashed" lights in this one, but then realized (after being... reminded of a few things) that it was perfectly normal... and a pretty cool variation on this picture.

Not a picture, but video from my helmet cam from a ride through the two biggest Christmas light displays in Sacramento/Placer Counties-Dovewood Court in Orangevale and Pebble Creek Drive in Rocklin. Almost every house on those two streets has lights, and some have lights synchronized to Christmas music.

As you can see from the traffic, the bike made much more sense than the car for viewing these lights!
