Hybrid Bicycles - Cannondale Quick 6. A good bike???

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So I have the ability to buy a brand new Quick Six for 225, it's a steal, but how are the parts?
Tourney shifters/breaks and Accera FD and RD, which I read are usually big box store parts. Will these hold up to daily rides of less than 10 miles and the occasional longer ride. All this with minimal Maintence.

Tourney and Accera parts are fine, there very reliable and dont require as much maintenance as high end parts only being slightly heavier.
+1
While the higher end components are nice, they aren't necessary. I purchased a Cannondale comfort 400S in 2003 and all of the entry level parts on it are still working just fine.
My riding at the time is similar to what you describe so the components on the bike you want will be more than adequate.

i had a really terrible time with the cannondale quick seat post clamp....i'm of the mind that it's a bike to avoid and now wish i had bought something else.

Can you blacklist a whole bike just because of the seat post clamp ?
My wife loves the Quick with a carbon fiber fork on the front. Takes some of the road vibration out of her rides.

I have been looking at two cannandale hybrid bikes but I'm confused on the difference on the components.
Cannondale cx 1 and the cannondale SL 1. Can some explain.
I ride on sidewalks roads and some trails about two or three times a week.
Can you blacklist a whole bike just because of the seat post clamp ? Possibly the cheapest part to replace on a bike. Good luck on the Cannondale. I have been seriously thinking about a Bad Boy.
