This is a repost from the "non-race" forum (I should have put it here in the first place but I'm a Newby--give me a break):
So what's out there as far as long distance mountain bike races? I'm looking for an "adventure" type of race, preferably multi-day and self-supported. I've done a couple of kayak races along those lines and have got the bug to try something like that on a bike. Any ideas?
I now know about the TransRockies, TransAlp & Sea2Sea, any others? Let me add that I'm not really as much into the racing aspect as the personal challenge & adventure part of it but a little competition is definitely required to "fuel" the excitement.
