alright, the match is this: in one corner, miche primato pista crankset, and the challenger, sugino 75 crankset.

these seem like a good matchup, because they're the only cranksets in what i would consider the low-range. (at approximately 180 for both w/chainring)

i know that the miche bolt pattern is a factor...so lets have it? reviews? opinions? q factor assessments?

I'v taken Miche crankset to hell and beyond... IMHO very reliable piece of kit. Don't really know about Sugino, as have not tried it

and this has what to do with the thread/pie/stash pockets?

there are only two acceptable digressionary topics in this forum, as noted above. construct your posts accordingly.

Got the Miche on mine: very nice, no noticeable flex or creak (and I'm a hundred-kilo tub of lard, so that's no mean feat).

sugino 75 is the victor, in my opinion.

I just have to say this, but I got a Sugino 75 crankset for $3 at my local bike swapmeet.

I'm sure they're both solid and well made components, but the Miche is way sexier looking.

I'm rockin' two of the Miche Primato cranksets..

x1 170mm
x1 165mm

16t cog, 49 and 50t rings..

two high flange track hubs, chains, seatpost..bottom bracket..

i love it all.

Miche all the way!

If they're the same price I would go with the Suginos. Stiff, no flex and standard bcd for chainrings. They're NJS certified so you know they mean buisness.

I have mine for about 3 years and I love them. Sure the Miche's look a little better but only Miche and TA make track pitch rings for 'em and its rare to find used ones.

How about TA Alize Pista at $150-180? Mine's been great... Off the top of my head I know Bikeworks and American Cyclery carry them; possibly other dealers as well.
