This February my wife and I plan to ride from Sannibel Island across to Ft. Lauterdale and then down to Key West on our tandem. I have the ACA maps but have a question. On another forum someone made mention of the "challenge" of riding through the Miami area. Basically all the crazy and ,in his words, the most dangerous drivers ever encountered.
So would anyone have any ideas of a "safer" route?

I have no additional route for you but did want to mention that a couple of months ago I took my folder to Miami and did a couple of hundred miles or so on it. I had no special problems with drivers. Enjoy the sunshine.

The route I am using is the ACA Florida Connector & Atlantic Coast route.
