I have a 1967 GMC 3/4 ton that I use for anything that needs to be pulled. I don't drive it too much, though. It's so rusty it gets lighter whenever I drive it from all the pieces falling off. No pictures tho.

Those foam blocks are cheap, would do a better job of protecting the top, raise it up a bit to maintain good forward visibility, and level it off so you don't cup so much air/improve mpg. And they also might allow for hatch access without unloading.

Probably good advice if we ever had to put it on top of our car again to get to a lake. Seeing that we live on a lake, though, it's not a huge concern. We have a little rolling canoe dolly that does the job of hauling it to the water. We took the photo just after we bought the canoe and hauled it about 6 miles. :D

I got out of sea kayaking...tired of loading/unloading to/from the paddling destination. But yours is the ideal situation. Might I suggest some wood grain with plaid trim to complete the "family truckster on the water look?" :innocent:

In addition to driving my wife crazy?:D

As a Realtor, no was I can go car free. Currently, a 2007 Mercury Montego with 99,000 miles. Seriously considering a Prius as most mileage is city based.

Wife drives a 2003 Corolla, just barely broken in with 108,000 miles.

It's eating oil like it was the antidote, and I've already replaced one head gasket. Time for a ground up rebuild or replacement.
What I'd really like to do is leave it naturally aspirated but convert it to CNG and re-cam it to utilize the 150 octane.
But I'll play hell trying to get a custom fuel tank made and installed.

I've already replaced the breather, headers, exhaust, springs, shocks, and brakes, and added double hoop roll bars.

Subaru Impreza. A GC chassis with the 2.2. Eventually going to receive a built EJ22G (No that doesn't exist it's an EJ20G on an EJ22T block.)

Turbo would be more efficient.

Well, eh, there's a lot of variables there. A turbo is "more efficient" most of the time but it's also very easy to blow up, will require lower compression, cause turbo lag, definitely need to be tuned, among other things.

Supercharger is the right choice for a lot of applications and a "turbo being more efficient" is a canned answer that doesn't really mean anything :)
