Training & Nutrition - Max VO2

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone here had their's measured? I'm participating in a fitness study at the University here and I'm getting paid to have my max VO2 and bodyfat percentage measured. Just curious what the scores are like for other cyclists. I read that the average male is 42 ml/kg/m.

Last time I had mine measured Vo2 at AT was 49 and Vo2max was 73. Body fat 10%. I think I have improved my form since then (5 months ago), but I'm no spring chicken!
That's awesome! I keep telling people they should do like what you're doing... find a university doing a study and it's free, or you can sometimes get paid too.

Well mine came from my job. The University was hired by the Canadian Forces to do a study on physical fitness of divers in the CF. I'm a diver so they're using me as a subject. However after this it's likely I'll be able to get tested for free in the future!
Yea, the university is where I think I'm gonna try to get my stats measured. I would be doing it now in a study but it turns out the one I volunteered for wanted people that did little to no exercise a week.
My max VO2 as measured on the treadmill test on Saturday was 68.2. Not bad considering it's winter and I've been hibernating. Max HR was 199.

My friend in college just got his measured for free. I think it was 65.
Why did I choose a business school?? :(
I just won a free VO2 max test last night. :) I'm going to schedule it later today.
