Thinking of buying this bike. I'll use it for everything. Any opinions? What do I look for in a used bike.

thanks

Does it have threaded eyelets for rack and fenders (front and back). Race CX bikes are often really minimalist, some even lack bottle fittings and a chainstay bridge. The more tour-oriented CX bikes make good all-rounders.
Look for any crash-damage at the frame, forks and cranks, wear in the transmission. Make sure it fits you and has a nice feel when you do a test ride.

I looked at a 2004 XO for my new commuter bike before getting my Jamis Nova last week. The XO is a cyclocross bike and should work well for a road bike or commuter. Just make sure it fits. An ill-fitting bike is very uncomfortable to ride.

Tell me more about the Jamis. Looks like a nice bike. Why did you choose it? I am still looking for 1 bike for everything.

Chucksbikes.com has some 02 Jamis Nova's as a pretty good price.
