Dude at LBS sold me some Giant auxiliary levers. I'm not sure he understood me completely when I told him that I was planning on using them with a rear mtb mechanical disc brake. He said that you could adjust the pull with the adjuster barrel, but I'm not sure about that. Do you guys think the auxiliary lever will work with the disc brake? Should I return them and order some levers that do both long and short pull? (I'm building a weird freak bike that has a 700c road wheel in front with a typical road caliper)

Got pics?

(sounds like they'll work, but the barrel adj [inline] is for cable stretch)

They will stop the wheel out back and you'll have tons of power but the lever will always feel mushy. Bring one back and exchange it for something with v-brake compatibility, assuming you're okay with mismatched levers. Alternatively, get a pair of adjustable-leverage levers. Tektro makes a nice set for cheap. It's call the SomethingSomething 2.1.
