This may be a dumb question. I may be getting a Trek 1000 in the next few months and I am sure my LBS could answer this. Just wondering what size of a tire will fit on the rim. It comes with 700x25. I am on the heavy side. I have lost 13 lbs down to 275 and plan on getting a new Road Bike when I get below 250 lbs. (Hopefully by the first of March). I was wondering if I would need a bigger tire than what comes on the Trek 1000. If so how big of a tire would fit on the rims.
Thanks
Steve

According to their website it comes with 700x25. I was thinking that 28's would be more reliable and easied on the wheels and spokes.

I'm thinking that 700 x 28c is probably the biggest tire that will fit between the brake pads.
