Hi
Was looking at getting one.
http://www.flightbikes.com.au/mtb-bikes/trail-ds-3_2.aspx

Mainly just ride aggressive & fast in grassy yard for joy & keeping fit. Im a big rider 110kg+ & worried if this bike wont last long under stress? My last older kmart huffy style bike didn't last long until wheels buckled & kept having problems with the cranks & gears.

Can anyone give advice on whether I should get one or not? And what to expect?

thanks

Yes! Get a bike. Bikes are awesome. Never heard of flight bikes.

Hopefully another Ozlander knows something about these lower-end bikes.

There is no way that bike would sell for $1,999. with those components. Its a sharp looking bike, but a fair priced $1000. bike, not a steal by any means.

Have you looked at any Local Bike Shop options?

WaveMan, I'm about the same size as you, and I wouldn't look for a lot of life from that bike. I ride pretty aggressively, and I could see that folding under me after little more than a year. Not good enough, IMO.

Right now, I'm crutching along my old Jamis Dakar XLT, hoping it lasts until February, when I will build up a Santa Cruz Butcher, investing about $2K. If I do as well with the Cruz as the Dakar has been, I will be pleased. I don't own a car, so the bike gets a lot of time. Right now, I'm between 15K & 16K miles on the Dakar, and I was money ahead JUST ON GASOLINE 18 months ago!
