Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Back from the dead

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A little off-topic, but perhaps not so much.
The wife always gets the mail, but the dog had to go out pretty badly when we got home tonight, so she left the mail sitting on the ironing board. Leafing through it out of curiosity, I found a letter addressed to her from Rivendell.
Hmm.. Might Christmas involve some retrogrouch gear for this guy here?

is the gift a surprise?
is the gift a surprise?
yeah, he has no idea. He has been riding to work for the last 8months on an mtb, suspension, nobbies and platform pendals, 16mile round trip. So this is a gift to get him to love riding, so when i go down to see him (he lives in socal) we can go on rides. I think this will help him notice the benefit of road bike, with smaller harder tires, no suspension and clips, i think he will realize how inefficient a mtb setup can be for commuting.

I was doing homework, but i finished and this has been a work in progress for about two months. A little bit here and there and yesturday was the final day!
My brother lives in Costa Mesa, just south of Huntington Beach.
