Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Couple bike i am thinking of buying

I already started a thread in the cv forum but it was mostly about 2 marinoni. The more i figured out about those two the more i wanted them/found them too costly. So here is a couple other option i could have and wanna know what you think about them:

And the two marinoni

I'd say that they are all over priced except for that red and white Marinoni which I would happily pay $400 for if it were my size. I think that the most interesting, to me, is the Ryffranck only because it has some pretty good components and it looks to be in excellent shape. I just don't really like mis-matched wheels, but that is just me. If you can get the Ryffranck for $700 or so, I would seriously think about it.

The Vitus does very little for me and it is about $500 too much but I do know that some forum members go nuts for those bikes.

I'm probably not qualified to discuss any of these high end bikes but I know I wouldn't pay anywhere near $1200 for a ~25 year old carbon tubed bike.

The vitus is actually a aluminiun tubed bike bonded to magnesium lug

+1 OK, its aluminum bonded, and I would not spend that kind of coin either. $1200 buys just about anything top of the line in the vintage area. Wow, $1200 and the saddle looks like crap and the bar tape is big time dirty. Doesn't look like the tires match, but it might just be the pic (one has a blue stripe, the other looks solid black). I would expect everything to be perfect and spotless.

+1 The red and white Marinoni looks appealing to me. It does need some cleanup, tires don't match, some wear on the rims.

The others, too many other choices at those price points.

I would be all over those Marinoni bikes in a heart beat!

I agree the Vitus (the blue aluminium one on top) looks pricey even for a good loking Chorus.

the white Macaroni could be a bit lower is it really, any idea of frame materiel? yes I know steel but what?

the bottom one looks like a good deal but I think only the derailleurs are Campi. the Crank looks like a Gipiemme and I bet the calipers are DiaCompe

Personally I would try 450 or so for the white/yellow one unless you want some tubulars.

As for tubular, i am not too keen on it, sure the red/white come with a set of tubular wheels and tire but i am still not sold to tubular and yes crank and brake of the red/white one are gipiemme, the front and rear derailleur are campy (quite surely nuovo record). As for the type of steel used, its both marinoni special and Gusieppe Marinoni just use colombus tubing so it could be anything that was available from colombus during those year but if i see sl or slx or tsx i gonna cry in joy. And randy, you get the red one i get the yellow one deal ?

The seller desires too much for the Vitus, it is the later frame and for though, pretty handsome. It will probably still be on offer a month from now.

The Marinonis are interesting, the red/white a better value but the bikes are quite different in size. I would look at the one that fits better, and negotiate on that one. Tubulars are not too scary, and they ride very well, even the cheap tires.

The image of the top bike would not load for me, so no comment.
