Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - thank you

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Last summer I posted an appeal for help with finding a bike to accommodate my unusual rt arm/hand; I can't use a shifter on the right. After reading replies here, I bought a 15 in single speed 29er from Bikes Direct, assembled it in my living room, and the rest is history. It fees great to ride under my own power. 30 miles is no problem on the paved paths around here. Mud, rocks, and tree roots have been a breeze. I am an over 50 mom of 8; if I can, you can.
After spending tme riding the SS bike, I know what I will need if I go to something with gears for longer rides. Also, I know that my muscles will be in such good shape I will leave my friends in the dust! :)

Oh wow! I was wondering what had happened with that a couple days ago. Glad it all worked out.

Holy Jesus. Are you Catholic?
I'm not trying to be rude, by the way. My Catholic uncle and aunt have six kids.

Are you Catholic?
My first thought too. I am catholic, and a bunch of the families from my church have like 6-7 kids. 4 or five is a bit more common though haha

Cool! Ride it a lot.
No, I am not Catholic, just a little nuts.
I have a pic on this iPad, and as soon as I figure out how to upload it, it will be here.
By then, it might be Spring, and I will have many cycling adventures to tell. :)
