Does anybody here have an idea of what a good price for a used 2003 Trek XO1 would be? I am looking at one currently that is my size and seems to be in pretty good shape as far as I can tell, I just don't know what a fair price is because I don't have any prior experience with cross bikes. I have mountain and road bikes but I am just looking for a cheap starter bike to see if I like cross racing. It also may get used as a rain/bad weather bike on the road some. It has 8 speed Sora with an upgraded double crank instead of the stock triple. Thanks.

I bought a 2000 XO-1 with moderate cosmetic wear, non stock (cheap) wheels, and otherwise mostly original components for $300 last year. I think that was a good deal, but I'm not sure I'd pay a lot more than that for what you're looking for, as the Sora drivetrain isn't that exciting. The bike you're looking at is after they adopted treadless headsets but before they adopted carbon forks on XO-1s.

Everything else aside, I think they're pretty nice bikes.
