It's a cheaper starter, designed for it, but the parts pick on the bike doesn't speak long life to me.

KHS is a 'blue-collar' brand, not a lot of glamour, but rugged. I've looked at their bikes before, but always went with one that suited me better.

It's a good bike to get started with. The geometry is a tad dated, but the frame is good and is worthy of upgrades further down the road.

Sounds like you're ready to get serious with this; the Norco is a heavy hitter! Being a Canadian brand, Norco isn't as well known in the US, but they have the quality -- I'd rank them right up with Santa Cruz!

well if imma ride a bike it damn well better be good, and giveen the price range sub 700 im trying to get the best bang for the buck for what i need, which is 26in wheels, gears, single or 2x crank doesnt matter decent fork and dual disc's so if i do trail ride with it i wont wear out my rear disc more then needed
