Hybrid Bicycles - Any ideas on what I could get for a used sirrus?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a 2010 specialized sirrus sport. I bought it in spring 2011 new and only road it up until this month. No crashes or anything. It was $749 new and I put continental grand prix s 4000 tires on it and an upgraded rear rim/hub ($100)..forget the make now. Otherwise everything else is stock. No dents or scratches. I was thinking $400? Is that reasonable? I don't need to unload it right away but definitely before spring as I want to buy a pure road bike.

That sounds like a fair price, maybe you can even as much as $450 since you upgraded the wheel.
I bought a new old stock 2009 Muirwoods 29er a few months back for just over $400 before tax. New this bike was around $650 SRP.
A friend bought a used 2010 of the same bike that I'd rate 3 out of 5 due to lots of frame scuffs from hard city use for $300. Mechanical condition is good.

I sold my 2010 Sirrus Sport for $350 this summer and should have asked more. The first person who saw it took it. I would start at $425 or $450 if I were you, and be ready to slide a bit but not a lot.

Search Craigslist and eBay to see what others are selling for.

CL is a bad indicator because it doesn't disclose the actual sell price. There was a 2010 Marin Muirwoods 29ers listed for $500 for several weeks. I find it difficult to believe that the seller got that much since that was originally a $650 bike and I got a new 2009 model for around $400 and later my friend bought a used 2010 for $300.
