Utility Cycling - A Couple of Questions

I have a couple of questions. I remember a few years back while looking at Xtracycles web site that they had an attachment for carrying a second bike on a bike equipped with an Xtracycle, do they still make that?

Also does anyone know where I can find extra quick release skewers for the Yakima Big Tow trailer? Yes, I know that Yakima no longer makes the Big Tow or any parts for it, that is why I am asking here.

For your Xtracycle question. I'm not familiar with the item your referring to. Are you wanting to tow a bike behind your Xtracycle or on the wideloaders. For the wideloaders you can easily buy bike racks that are designed to mount to car roof racks that have adjustable clamps for the wideloader's bars.

For towing behind a bike, one way I've seen others do it. Was putting the front wheel of the bike into the freeloader bags and securing the bike, leaving the rear wheel on the ground to follow behind. While others have modified fork mounts for truck beds to attach to the back of the bike. The front wheel then being stored in the freeloader bags.

I know nothing about the extra cycle stuff, but as for the big tow parts, good luck, I have tried in the past. I do have one for sale if you want one for parts. I'm downsizing my fleet and haven't used mine in a couple of years.

I know what you're talking about. I think they were called side loaders or something like that. Xtracycle stopped making them because they're basically a car roof tray modified to fit on a wide loader so they said just do it that way rather than have a separate product. You might do a search on Flickr since they've got some good xtracycle image groups.
