Hi All

I'm new here. I've been lurking for a while, and looking for a bike.

About me; I'm a middle aged fat guy, and want to ride again. I've been looking for a decent entry level bike to ride, and finally found one I like.

Attached are pics of my Nishiki Custom Sport. The guy I bought it from threw all the components on, so I'm sure they're not OG, but, it rides comfortably and I'm happy to be able to run around rather than read about bikes on the web.

Feel free to call it what you want.

Welcome to the Bike Forums.

I have snapped up a few Nishiki Custom Sport bikes, over the years. For the most part, I would consider them to be entry level and recreational machines, but certainly well made. I have included a picture, or two, of one of the bikes, so that you can compare.

Good luck with the bike and ensure that you pay close attention to the golden rule of riding a vintage road bicycle - "rubber side down";-)

+1, welcome to the forums. This is a very interesting model. The dropout indicates a Giant manufactured frame from August 1979. That is late enough in the year that it could possibly be a 1980 model. I've never seen that particualr style of logo or shape of headbadge. Originally, I thought it might be a repaint with homemade decals, but the Femco tubing decal is correct. You may want to consider adding the bicycle to the Nishiki Serial Number Database thread.
