Hi folks,

Mrs. Gomango has asked nicely several times about the future of the 14 wheelsets in our freshly remodeled basement.

I assert that it takes time to remember what they are, and when I bought them.

Could someone be so kind as to help me id these 8 speed hubs?

I checked on Velobase, and I think they are Record.

But what do I know.

TIA

the front hub certainly looks like a C-Record (and actually the Corse was dropped by the 8spd days) so if your sure they are a pair I would say they are Record (formerly known as C-Record)

Thank you for the reply.

They have been zip tied together for the last ten years, and in my often faulty logic stream they are a pair! :)

I vaguely remember lacing these many years ago at the shop, and they still have the original Campy Omega rims.

Still are very true.

I will dissent. The front is Record, or C Record, as Bianchigirl stated, things got renamed.
The rear... Could be Record, maybe Chorus. I will admit, at this time in Campagnolo's history, there may not have been much functional difference. The dustcap locknut area just makes me hesitate.

Thank you!

This is what gives me pause.

Most of the wheels we were building at the time were all Record or DA.

But not all.

Ah, the mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Such a nice wheelset to just sit in a basement, I'll hopefully send these off to a new home in the coming year.
