G'day everyone. I picked up this frame the other day and was wondering if anyone could help with identifying it. It has Columbus stamped on the rear dropouts and the fork dropouts. It also has a B on the fork and a head tube badge shape that is quite distinctive, but is painted black.

I'm guessing it might be a Bianchi, but no idea of what model. It had a mix of campi parts and some suntour.

I'm 99.999% sure it's a Bottecchia just by the shape of the head badge.

+1, it's definitely a Bottecchia. The Columbus dropouts indicate it is probably late 1980s or newer. In which case tubeset determination is relatively easy, as the bottom bracket was typical stamped with the frame size, serial number and the tubeset.

Thanks for your help. The serial number si CRM 0048 59. Does that mean it is a 59cm, with Columbus something tubes?

I would say it is CroMor tubes?

It is a Columbus Cromor frame, 100% positive. Cromor was used on mid-range models. Based on serial number, this frame should be circa 1987-1988 and a 59cm size.

Thanks T-Mar for your help. You wouldn't know of any pictures of that era that you could direct me to (i'm doing a bit of googling too). I feel a bit of a project coming on. I found her under a pile of junk at that rubbish tip and find it hard to go past a good resurrection.
