No, not a bike score, but still a good score for my C&V bikes. It was a PCS-4 Park Tool Stand in like new condition. The seller said make offer. I was completely honest in telling that seller that money is real tight, I can only offer $40. I told him I know the stand is worth more, and I wish him luck with his sale.
The seller replied back, thank me for my kindness and honesty, and told me that he going to hold out for more. I replied back, I didn't blame him, and the stand is worth much more. The next day, he emailed me to come get it. He rather somebody like me have it.. ;) It is a Park Took PCS-4 Tool Stand is excellent condition. I would give this a 9 with 10 being new.
This stand sells on Amazon for $245 at dicount with msrp being at $362!!
I am starting off the New Year C&V style!! ;)

Congrats on your good fortune.
I use the same stand at home, and a portable Park stand at the cabin.
You'll never have to buy another stand, as they are overbuilt in my opinion.

Nothing like a good stand to make life easier.
May many great bikes find their way into its cradle!

Now, I am looking to get my first good bike score for 2012!! ;)
Excellent score! I'm hoping to find one in the horizon.
Every time on the mechanics forum someone debates what is the best budget price workstand out there, I always post: "think used". This makes a great example! Well done.
Now keep your eyes out for some used tools!

Good score on that 'cehoward'. I went for years wanting a nice bike stand and finally coughed up enough to buy an 'Ultimate' stand. Real pretty red and black one. Exactly one week later my boss (who knows I ride) gives me a Park pcs-1 stand he got from his sister for free. :crash:
Enjoy

Got my fancy one when a local bike shop was going out of business...

And got the portable when I wanted to buy myself a birthday present...

I'm looking for a good stand, was thinking of getting one where the bike rests and is clamped on top. But I'm open to getting one similar to your. Does a stand like that leave any scuff marks on the paint of the top tube, where it grips?

Looks almost shop-quality, there - nice one!
I saw one on New Years Eve locally for $60, but I was so doggone sick I couldn't get out of the house to even check it out. Oh, well...
Enjoy!

Assume it will - and simply wrap the jaws in an old T-shirt or shop rag. Sorted!

Nope, and I think most of us used something in between the clamp and the bike just for insurance..

Great deal, and it's a nice bookend to the ethics and morality thread further down the page. If I had waited to buy a good bikestand used, I'd still be waiting, I think; I've seen only two or three advertised in the past three years and they were gone before I got to them. Instead, I bought a new, expensive Feedback on the advice of the BF high rollers here.

My wife just alloted me a one of the bedrooms for my bikes!! ;)
That is how she got the bikes out the kitchen.. ;)
Anyway, that stand is in the middle of that bike-bedroom and it cradles the bike I will ride that day..;)
BTW, now I have a stand in the kitchen, the garage, and the bike-bedroom... ;)
Tell me life isn't sweet!! ;)

I do have a Spin Doctor stand and a PCS-1 stand, I paid $50 each for them used. . But, they can't touch this PCS-4 in new condition!!
I was just lucky to catch it..
One in the kitchen? And in a bike bedroom?!? Yeah, life is most definitely good.

I'll give you 100 bucks for it.
I paid more for a cheap Spin Doctor stand than my used Park stand for $35. Park stands are the best. The cheap Spin Doctor is now in the shed and used for bike washings.

Ha, I wouldn't cut this lose for $200, not even $250.. ;) This is a solid keeper!! ;)
This stand reaks with quality. Not only that, it is good to look at, and in almost new condition...sheesh, I am like a 71 year kid in the candy store!! :D :D

Only what you make it..;) My home is a garaged 3 bedroom townhouse. My wife and I have the master bedroom, and each of us took one of the two other bedrooms to do whatever we want. Well, I made mine into a bike bedroom. I did need somewhere to put 9 bikes. I was banging them in the kitchen, living room, everywhere. The garage is too cold and junky for my babies..;) I do keep one of the beaters in the garage. ;)

Hope you feelling better!!
Also, when I was hauling it out to house to get it, my wife sneakingly asked me "ya not going to get another bike" :D I told her "no", smiling to myself, because I snuck the last two bikes in passed her!! When you get over 5 bikes, the wifes can't tell the difference!!
On the scoring, I don't think so. If you scan the CL and regularly, keeps some cash on hand for the super score, and be ready to pounce on right away, they are out there.. You have to jump on the quickly, because the good scores go quickly..
Again, speedy recovery to you.. .

Wow! Congrats on that deal!
I bought a like-new PRS-3 OSLB (with base) from the ex-wife of a framebuilder for $100. I've yet to take delivery of it -- a buddy is holding it for me up in KC. The seller was honorable enough to refuse offers for more money after I had locked it in with a PayPal payment. :)
Happy New Year!
