so i saw that another posted had said something about going to portland, and was looking for a bike shop that rented fixed gears. i got into austin a few days ago to celebrate the new years, and have been itching to ride, seeing all the hills around here and everyone on a bike enjoying themselves.
i've checked out fast folks (awesome little shop) and mellow johnny's (meh) and they couldn't really help me. i have a trek madone on hold for rental tomorrow from mellow johnny's that's in my size (58/57), but i would much rather enjoy the town of austin on a fixed gear, as that is what i'm used to.
if anyone has an idea about a fixed gear rental (which has been an anomaly for me, as i also tried looking in woodstock ny when i visited there) let me know.
thanks y'all
