I have recently been playing around the idea of setting up an old school cyclocross bicycle and setup. I, at one time, had a Zeus cyclocross specific crankset that dated to the late 70s but was wondering what did the old classic hardcore actually cross courses use.

I have done a great deal of research before on the art of grass tracing races, the famed highland games and the old Carribean dirt/grass track racing. I have some pics posted on my photobucket pages of these type bicycles. A few bad photo types of some aussie branded grassers

and a few on the olde english isles collection pages. Most notably my Dawe red feather club racer. with some modifications. Including a pic of my friend Vic Polanski from Ireland who raced grass track at highland games for some time.

Anyone have other pics of similar types set ups? Thanks
