I have found big ones, small ones, ones with fenders, green ones, white ones, rusty ones, nice ones and they all have "UO-8" in their names. I know the 08's are nice bikes, I ride one for my DD so no reason to beat around the bush, Did Peugeot make anything lower than an 08? Is this the single year they put nice lugs on the water pipe bikes?

It has a 531 sticker that is damaged. The part of the sticker that says "suitable for town water" is missing.

awe, darn... I still hope and wish. Ok.. lets do this.

From your pictures the closets model is a 1974 PX 10 because of the rear chromed and the crankset, but this frame has the badge area all black

It is the very best UO8 you can buy. It is so good, it is called a late sixties or seventies something Peugeot PX10 (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/Feature_Bicycles/Feature_Bicycles_France/Peugeot_1963_PX10/PEUGEOT_PX10_1_Start.htm) and, in my opinion, a really great bike...

Wish I had not sold mine...

It's the very worst kind of U08, Frank - very dangerous!
The tubing was made from spent nuclear fuel rod casings, and there is only one place you can properly and safely dispose of it.

I will PM you the address.

I would be interested in those non-original Dia Compe levers should you part it out.

That's what my Px-10 looked like when I got mine, except it had Record/Super Champion wheelset. If it's your size, you scored big.

I thought it might be but I was afraid to assume. The seat tube has a pretty big dent in it. The good news is I think I can push it out from the inside. It's not even close to my size either. If the frame was nice I would grab it for one of you guys. I think the seat tube was squashed in a work stand when the bike had no pillar installed.

I ended up passing on it. I think he would take $100 for the frame. I can check tomorrow. I think there were two exactly the same. The other is being transformed to a hybrid as we speak.
