ok guys, i realise that this isnt ACTUALLY a mountain bike question but i thought somebody may have done it.

Im looking at spraying my Old RST on my Hardrock, i realise that it isnt really wrth spraying, and im planning on upgrading at some point anyway, but, im looking at a camo collection, i saw a british guy in my mbuk mag that did it, and it looks really cool, here's a pic

Probably wont do it that color, was looking at white and black camo with silver on it somewhere..

What i want to know is, what processes should i go through with it. My dad sprayed my brothers bike and it looked nice to start with but chipped VERY easily and lost its color qute quickly, he wet and dried it, then sprayed 4 or 5 coats of spray paint then clear laquered it a couple of time...

Does anybody else have a method for spraying? I dont really want to get it done proffessionally because i cant afford it, plus i would really like to try it on my own :)

Thx guys

heh, you lean your fork up against anything and it will scratch it. I have a few scratches on mine simply from leaning it up against a wall. the fork itself probably isn't worth dumping any money into

Surely it would be worth practising on, because when i get my DMR soon, i will only be using my hardrock for light rides with the occasional small drop, less than im doing now and the fork has held up well, so until the RST breaks, which i think is a while off, i might not replace it until then...

I still think it would be a good experience to try and do....

yeh, i saw that article. it sounds like a cool idea to me. When you have done it, take some pics and send them to MBUK and post them up here. Ill look out for your forks in the mag!
