Found this bike at a second hand store for $30 looks pretty good shape to me. Pictures arent that great but best I could do at the time. just curious if it is something I buy to either turn it or ride it.232679232680232681

if that is your size $30 is real good for a rider. I am sure with a good cleaning you may make a few dollars on a flip depending where you live. but don't expect to get $200 for next week

I live in Iowa about 40 minutes away from the University of Iowa. When I first seen I thought maybe it could worth about $100 to someone, but like I said I am new to the bike thing so I could be way off track.
Around here, a bike like that would not last long enough for a return trip. The thrift stores and second hand stores are full of pickers. It would not be a slam dunk. But here, pickers are more than happy to pay $30 for it, knock the dirt off, and sell it a couple days later for $60 (they typically will not do any meaningful service on it).
+1 To below: Rear basket covers the asking price.

I am not going to be able to back for it for a few days so hopefully it is still there, if not I have lost out on things before so it will be ok. I just don't know how it will move up there hopefully not quick.

It would help to have decent pics, but it looks like a mid 70-'s Raleigh Sprite 5-speed (http://sheldonbrown.com/retroraleighs/sprite.html). Decent utilitarian Raliegh - A Bargain at $30.

Worth the $30, If I was still IC it would be GONE! ;)
I would grab it off, clean it up and sell it in the spring...well then again Iowa is having spring like weather at the moment.
I could see it fetching $100+ for the right buyer in the IC market
FWIW I am from/in NC but spent two summer season and a fall in IC working at the U of I. Loved every minute of the bicycling out there.
Aaron :)
