I have started a tradition with my nephews to ride the fire trail by their house on New Years day. I started this so that this would provide them with a memorable experience for this occasion. And to inspire them to be more adventurous with cycling, because I find that todays young people aren't as cylcing orientated, and that doing your same old New Years day celebration of sitting around and just eating and watching the tube is just really kind of a dull memory to have for this day. What's every one else take on this? I know that last year I was going to scrap the ride because of lack of paricipants, having to do with sibbling being in trouble and grounded for his acts, but his brother said to me hey were still going aren't we. And this year now my other nephews have joined in.

CAMBA has, for the past three years (this being the third) done an urban assault ride in downtown Cleveland on new years day. I loved this ride last year so much that I am passing on a chance to go to Ray's for it. I can go to Ray's the next day.
