Hang on, it's early. There are lots of Austin members here, sure to chime in.
From my experience, she will only have to walk around and pick up something stray in the gutter.

Believe it or not, SOME bicycle maniacs have day jobs...give it some time! LOTS of cyclists in the Austin Area. Have you looked at Craigslist Austin...LOTS of bikes available in the area, saw a Bianchi for $375...NICE, lots of bikes, but buyer beware.
