Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Bike Forums help on ID'ing a 3 speed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Trying to get more information on this bike; not sure of make or model. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If it's a Sturmey Archer hub (looks like it is) you can get an easy date code from the shell. Two digit number will give the year made. No idea on the bike, some more/better pictures might help.
No headbadge, decals, anything?

thanks for the response Jake. It does have a Sturmey but I have yet to clean it up enough to see numbers. The only identifying mark I see on this bike is that "chess pawn" shape design on a few of the joints like in the number 3 photo attachment. If I should upload a picture of another particular part of the bike, please let me know. Thanks Jake.

front of the headtube might be instructive
I took a few more pictures. Hopefully, these will help. Let me know! Thanks much.
I have included a picture of the headtube. Whatever was on there is missing now. Do these pics help?

A piece of paper towel and 60 seconds will reval the date code on the rear hub.

Thanks, I will do that but I didnt think it would help get the make and model of the bike. But if it would help, I will post that info as well.
The date code on the rear hub is AW 53.
Does this help anyone to tell me the make and model of this bike?
That's what I really want to know, as the bike does not have any decals or stamps that I notice except the unusual "pawn shape" punch outs at various joints. See pictures above.
Let me know! Thanks.

Have you cross posted this in the regular C&V forum yet? You might have better luck there. Repost all the pictures, someone might know.

Thanks FastJake. Sorry for the late response. I believe I found out the type of bike it is. It looks like a Fleetwing. Does that seem possible?

I've never heard of Fleetwing but anything is possible. I know very little about frames and makes and I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. Glad to hear you got some info on it though.
It looks like its some sort of english 3 speed spin off. I can tell by the front fender. There were alot of spin offs of the raleigh 3 speed bikes HUmber Rudge and Robin Hood were some others as well. i think a quick google image search can confirm the model.
